Convert from FNSKU label to UPC code, does this require a new listing?

As the title says. One of our biggest sellers has outgrown our ability to label them in a timely manor. We would like to convert to just using the UPC code but the help file makes it sound like you need to basically create a new product listing and we would hate to lose our product sales history and reviews.

**It will take about 24 hours for the new preference to take effect, and it will apply only to new offers. You cannot change the barcode preference for existing offers or for shipments that have already been created.

To use the new barcode preference, you must create a new offer or change the barcode setting for each existing offer, and then it will be in effect for new shipments. **

Just want to make sure that I am reading this correctly that if we convert to the UPC code that we have to make a "new offer." That sounds to me like you make a new listing for it. If so it isn't worth losing a 15 years history

Hi @Seller_0rXAME9V4LQSx,

Dominic from Amazon here, happy to help! So I have some good new, you don't have to create a new ASIN, just a new offer. This means you keep all of that sales history. I have added the steps below to create a new offer:

Create a new product offer for each affected ASIN and select the barcode setting:

  • On the Manage FBA Inventory page, search for the affected ASIN.
  • To the right of the ASIN, click the Edit dropdown and select Add another condition.
  • On the offer creation page, enter a new Seller SKU, fill out the remaining required fields, and click Save and finish. Note: You may select the same item condition as your existing offer.
  • On the Choose Barcode Type page, select the barcode you would like to use and click Save & Continue.
  • On the Convert to Fulfilled by Amazon page, complete Add dangerous goods information and click Save & Continue.
  • If you wish to send your products to Amazon now, please continue creating your shipping plan.

Best,

Dominic
