Amazon Offered Data?

Hi

Amazon is my side hassle. I'd like to learn by doing.

Without any tools like Jungle Scout or Helium 10, seems Amazon has offered data that helps to search key word which can be used for listing creation.

Would anyone please tell me how to find this function on Seller Central?

Non professional plan offers access to A+ content creation?

Regards

Yionna

Well, if you like learning, here are some lessons to study.

1. Amazon is a for profit company who knows very well how to extract as much of a seller's profit as they can, in any form they can.

2. Amazon created the Seller University to instruct sellers on how to use the site, showing all the features a seller can buy into.

3. Seller University will not tell a seller how to operate a successful online retail business make a profit using the site. That is what you bring to the site.

4. Always use caution when thinking about using 3rd party software as you mentioned. They are all full of statistics on colorful pages, that make one feel professional. If you really need that information, is can often be found for free.

5. Why does Amazon promote 3rd party software on their site? Well, they are operated by Amazon's AWS, and Amazon gets a little reward behind the doors.

6. Third party software companies like you mentioned tell sellers the latest in products and suggest what products to buy. The problem is, behind the doors, those manufacturers are paying to have their products promoted on the site.

7. KEYWORDS: There are only so many words in the English language. With over 2 million sellers on the site, what words do you think will set you apart form 250,000 other sellers? None.

8. While Amazon and 3rd party software promote a lot of hype about keywords, The Amazon search engine runs on TITLES. A short 3–5-word title is far more effective than any keyword.

9. Amazon selling is simple, sell products that buyers want and need, and sell them at the lowest price. These products sell themselves with no additional need for advertising or 3rd party software.

____________________________________________

Now with all of that said, hopefully your used name on these threads is not the user name you display to sellers on your listings. When a potential buyer sees that name, they just might not want to buy from a meaningless string of letters and numbers.

That's a bad idea when it comes to selling on Amazon. I don't talk about finding a "winning product" or the best keywords. Anyway, other hundred thousand potential sellers use the same tools and will find the same "winning products". I talk about HOW this platform is working. There are hundred thousand rules and prescriptions. If you ignore one: bam, account suspended. So learn FIRST, do LATER:

Heya @Seller_h0rz7arV6D3QI- and thanks for this post! I hope selling on Amazon is more of a side hustle than a side hassle ;) - but it does sound like you are asking the right questions to improve your listings!

You might be interested in this overview of the Search Query performance dashboard, which is the primary Seller Central tool for brands to understand how their keywords are performing against customer searches. Then the search catalog performance dashboard displays metrics on how customers interact with your products through the search shopping journey, including search impressions, clicks, add-to-cart, and purchases.

It is important to note that both of those tools are available to sellers who own a brand, similar to A+ Content. So, if you haven't registered a brand through Amazon brand registry, you may wish to consider launching one in the near future!

I hope this information helps, but do let me know if I can help address any other questions on the topic!

Thanks,

Danny
