Generics Policy Error 5885
Good Afternoon,
I have ungated to sell a product and when I try to add the product to ship to Amazon, I am now receiving a Generics error 5885. I attempted to resolve this by sending it to Amazon and I received a message back saying that they do not see that I am receiving this error. How can I resolve?

I have also tried using the UPC to list the item, and am getting the same error message. Can you help?

You can no longer list on existing GENERIC ASINs but you have to create your own one. This is very new. But with the privilege that YOUR new listing will be protected from hijackers and really belongs to you. You could have clicked on the link in the message to learn it yourself.

It is true that there was a recent update to the Generic Product policy driving towards new ASIN creation in situations like this. Were you able to create a new ASIN following this?
