Why return carrier is UPS only?

I remember from around 3-4 months ago when customer open a return request amazon will choose USPS when package is light weight. Why now amazon choose UPS insteads. It's more expensive from USPS. Can I change it?

In my experience, a UPS is used for the return label when the weight is over a pound, and the data Amazon uses for that is the package weight on the listing, not what was put on the outbound shipping. Check the ASINs you are seeing this happen on to see if the listed package weight is correct.

Hi @Seller_GLAEAd9YpW6Ax,

I see that @Seller_f4a7xAPCCSMqDprovided their feedback around why we would use UPS and not USPS on some return orders. In case you wish to learn more about what is available to you as a seller if you want to have a standard set of instructions that apply when you get a return request from a buyer. You can go to this help page for more information about how to enter your default return instructions.
