USPS Ground Advantage No Longer an Option with Amazon Buy Shipping Services
On May 3rd the Amazon Seller Central site was down for a bit and we couldn't print off orders for a couple hours. Since it came back USPS Ground Advantage is no longer coming up as an option to ship products. We have one ASIN in particular that we have shipped thousands of over the last 15 month and 100% have gone out USPS GA. But now the only option Amazon is providing in their Buy Shipping Services is UPS Ground which is almost $2 more and considering our profit on these items is just over that it is not something we can use.
So now we are forced to use a third party site to purchase all our labels for this product and it is very time consuming. We have not made any changes in our Shipping settings and nothing else has changed. We have never had a single case of a Late Shipment or Late Arriving item with Ground Advantage. We are also seeing the same exact thing with other small items we have shipped hundreds of. They have always been Ground Advantage but now the only option is UPS Ground.
We figured this would be straightened out by now but for some reason this issue is still ongoing. I've tried contacting Seller Support twice and each time they are just sending back cut and paste responses which have nothing to do with the issue. Tried to have them call this morning but now see they only have phone support Mon - Fri so I wasn't able to get any help with this.
Anyone else running into this? It's very frustrating.

This is happening to us also. On pretty much every single order. I have noticed that just recently - "The Shipping Service used to calculate Delivery Promise" - on the order page is now showing USPS First Class instead of USPS Ground Advantage like it did previously. I have tried to change it but it will not let me.

This happened to me three weeks ago and yes, it is very upsetting. I got GA for less than a pound but not for over a pound. I finally figured out I had to add a day to my handling time for it to show up. But still ship same or next day of course. Try that. I haven't had any problems with GA not showing up since.

The same thing happened to us a couple days ago and the issue persists. The reason appears to be because USPS Ground Advantage transit time estimates are too long by several days in almost every case.

YES! we are having the same issue, and not for the first time have you, but this is far worse, we had to print every single order in stamps today, just have to hope scammers don't eat us alive with false INR A-Z claims...wonder if this is by design? they've been trying to phase out USPS and GA in particular ever since GA came out, they clearly have a deal with the other carriers to push over there...

I noticed the same thing about a week ago. USPS GA disappeared as a shipping option, leaving only the more expensive USPS Priority and UPS Ground. Opened a case and here's the reply I received:

I understand that you are contacting because you are not having available the cheaper version of the USPS Service. Instead of this, we have available the UPS more expensive service.
Please keep in mind that Amazon uses internal transportation data and high likelihood of meeting the buyer’s delivery promise to surface ship methods.
It is possible for a ship method to be available on a carrier’s website and not available on Buy Shipping all the time.
