Customer Phone Number
We ship large items that ship by LTL.
Many times, the Amazon encrypted phone number just disconnects when attempted and prevents the freight carrier from delivering the order.
Is there an option to receive the customer's actual phone number in this situation?
I messaged the customer through the Amazon app in these scenarios and many times they do not reply.
I am currently dealing with this on an order right now.
Any thoughts?

No, you will not get real phone numbers. Are you using the extension given?

Even if you sign up for the freight program which is supposed to include this information it doesn't. Many customers don't even give amazon a real number. Its a big issue for freight deliveries that amazon has no good answer for. We have seen a lot of extra fees from freight as well, storage fees, re-delivery fees, "business" addresses at residential addresses, lift gate fees and of course the dreaded undeliverable that forces you to pay for return freight only to find that the shipping company has destroyed the merchandise in transit.
