Changing Store Display Name - Unavailable

I read in another thread that someone had the same issue as I am having and they seemed to have it resolved by posting here.

I am new seller. No products listed as yet, I have an approved Amazon Brand Registered. I am trying to change our store name to match our business name/dba but it is unavailable. I've been dealing with support over this for weeks. Support CASE 14974081711. It's as if none of the support people read the support history and it's a different person each time.

We had an employee register for a sellers account years ago using our business name. That's as far as it went. We are the owners and manufacturers of our products and there are no current products or stores using our business name. No one who replied to my support case seems to understand this.

Please help!

You should not need to open a case.

That is found by clicking:

Tools>

Store Information>

Edit Store Name.
