Why won't Amazon allow me to contact sellers who are selling counterfeit goods of my brand

We just added our products to Amazon Canada. First, they're not showing our listings, even though they're active.

But second, Amazon won't let me post the full links because they don't recognize Amazon Canada as an Amazon site, so you'll have to go to Amazon Canada and use these ASINS:

Muggy-Weld-Welding-Electrode-Diameter/dp/B07RYG2C2C

SSF-6-56-Silver-Solder-rod/dp/B07S96YNBS

Those are my products, but they're counterfeiters. I contacted one seller this morning, and tried to contact the second seller to ask for valid invoices, and Amazon refuses to allow me to ask a seller a question. Stating:

img

So why am I not allowed to contact more than one seller in a day? Why am I not allowed to protect my brand? And why are counterfeiters showing, but not my valid listings?

You are more than able to protect your brand, but you need to do a test buy first to see if the item is counterfeit. If it isn't counterfeit, then there isn't any issue here if your brand is on your item.

Do you have a trademark approved in Canada through CIPO? USA trademarks are valid for USA only.

Contrary to popular belief, Inappropriate Commentary: [Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary]

Use a freight forwarding service that can receive the package you order and forward to your address.

Because you're probably been abusing that.

How do you know their counterfeit or drop shipping? They could have purchased your inventory legally at an amazon auction/courier lost goods auction etc. They might have even purchased your inventory directly from YOU, the brand owner on Amazon USA or another site.

Your policies apply in USA only unless you have a Canadian Trademark. You also have no proof it's counterfeit. It's speculation until you do a test buy.

BTW, the Canadian trademarks database does not show anything called Muggy Weld, so that's probably likely that you've been blocked as spam as you have contacted too many people and threatening other sellers, saying you own a trademark in Canada, but don't. The other sellers have likely flagged your messages as fraud/spam due to this.

They'll have to cancel the order to the Canadian customer, which means your brand does not get sold to the customer in Canada that wanted to purchase your brand's item, and they will have to buy from your competitors now, thereby reducing your brand's influence in the Canadian Marketplace.

So let me get this straight — your listings aren’t showing up, you think other sellers are counterfeiters, and now you’re trying to DM them to ask for invoices? Come on.

Let’s clear a few things up. First, if your listings are active but not visible, it’s likely a suppressed listing issue or a catalog conflict — extremely common, especially for new sellers or products with existing ASINs. It's not Amazon “not recognizing” your listings; it's your responsibility to ensure they’re properly set up with full compliance and that you’re the rightful brand owner, ideally through Brand Registry. No Registry = no control. Period.

Second, and this is important — you don’t get to act as Amazon’s enforcement team. You can’t message other sellers and demand invoices like it’s a private investigation. That’s not how the platform works. If you suspect someone is violating IP rights or selling counterfeits, you report it through the appropriate infringement tools. Trying to contact sellers directly, especially with vague accusations, is a fast way to get flagged yourself.

And just to clarify — yes, Amazon.ca is a valid Amazon marketplace. If you’re seeing system errors around link sharing, it’s probably more about how or where you're posting them — not that Amazon has suddenly forgotten one of its own marketplaces.

Bottom line: it sounds like you’re still learning how the system works. That’s fine — we’ve all been there. But if you want Amazon to take your brand seriously, focus on setting things up properly, register your IP, and use the right reporting channels instead of trying to freelance your way through enforcement.

@Seller_ir2sdQjTkfjTh Glenn from Amazon has clarified that policy here, and admitted to misspeaking, and Amazon removed Article 3 from his post which had previous stated that goods purchased from online retailers would be counterfeit.

"3. Nothing you buy from online or physical (brick-and-mortar) retailers can be resold. That would be considered a "counterfeit" product under the new rules and you may risk having your account permanently deactivated."

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/8a170817-8e58-4c13-99e9-27827beb1931

That post has now been updated and that statement removed due to it being incorrect information. Purchasing from a retailer or online store does not make an item "counterfeit". That policy didn't even last for 3 days before being taken down.

Amazon's official policy is now that if you suspect an item is counterfeit and infringing on your brand's trademark and intellectual property, if you wish to make a case, you may have to pay Amazon and their third party $4000 per claim to review and investigate the product and IP claims, as there is so many companies making false claims like yourself that say the item is counterfeit, but it isn't, which waste's Amazon's time and takes away from their sales commissions and provides a poor customer buying experience for Amazon's customers.

They do not have our permission to drop-ship, they are violating Amazon policies.

Amazon policies state you either have to possess the item, or have a drop-ship agreement. Neither are true in this case.

Place a test order from that other seller, then report them via Brand Registry using your order number, photos of the packaging & product, and details why it's fake

Once you understand amazon is a criminal organization working to destroy small business it makes more sense. Look into the partenrship witht the WEF and amazon. Lawsuits are the only way.
