Saturday is not a shipping day, demmit!
What is up with lead times? We just manually reset our lead times after Amazon silently changed them from greater than 2 days to 2 days, so I know lead time for the brand in question is 4 days (I also spot-checked this with individual SKUs). Orders coming in today, which should be indistinguishable from orders placed Monday, are expected to ship on Thursday. Monday + 4 days used to be Friday.
Did Amazon change how weekend orders are calculated? Are they once again suffering from the recent "Saturday is now a shipping day" bug? Are they disconnecting reported lead times from actual lead times?
Unfortunately, following Amazon's "prodding" (i.e. avoiding the penalty for not using Amazon's paid services and automation), we have transit times calculated by Amazon and the site only displays delivery dates, so I can't see what customer-facing promise is being made. Is there another way to see what Amazon is promising? The site says "usually ships in 3 to 4 days" which is not at all what we mean when we say "4 business days."
We set our lead times specifically because we mean what we're saying. This is doubly true during the Christmas crush. Please stop second-guessing us, Amazon. One of us knows what we're doing.

Oh, and before anyone chimes in, note that we have Saturday and Sunday set as not-shipping days in our account.

We ship on Saturday, whats the problem. Amazon customers expect quick shipping. Your in the Amazon business, ship it quick.

If its ecommerce and has to do with shipping, yes.
Customer expectation is the same accross ecommerce

We Ship 7 days a week we are open 24 seven. UPS picks up 5 days a week, USPS picks up 6 days a week. We ship same day.
It sounds like you enjoy having plenty of time to do your stuff. E-commerce is 24 seven and on amazon no days off. It is your business, and you should run it as you see fit. Unless there is a special reason for your shipping delay it would seem that your business model and amazons do not work well together.

There has been an ongoing issue with this for a month. You should contact support and open a case, and also add a day to your handling time or transit time when saturdays will be involved.
