Sales tax report

Hi Amazon sellers,
I’m filling quoter sales tax report to my state and I need to provide the gross income from Amazon for the quoter. What is the best place to generate or see the gross income for the quoter?

Download Flat file.

Change the extension to .XLS

Open in Excel and tabulate.

Depending on your state, Amazon collects the sales tax on all transactions as they are the seller of record.

Look at your orders page under shipped. Click on a few orders and see if Amazon is collecting the sales taxes for you. Remember that a few states do not charge any sales tax so if the first one you look at doesn’t show it then keep looking.

It is really easy as Amazon has it all built. It is just, reports, Tax Document LIbrary, Sales Tax Report.

Choose the marketplace. You should know that Amazon hires really lazy programmers. So, for example Texas may be found as both TX and Texas.
