Bots Everywhere - Need Real Human Being for Assistance
Hey everyone,
I’m really struggling with my Amazon seller account and could use some help.
My account was deactivated immediately after setting it up and I was asked to provide a utility bill in my name and address or a business license.
I uploaded my Sales Tax License—but it was rejected (probably by a bot).
Then I uploaded my electricity bill—rejected againn. The bill had my name and address, but the address had small differences (like "St" instead of "Street").
After receiving no help from seller support, I emailed the Escalation team but got the same generic bot response: "We have received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account at this time."
Finally got my mobile bill which has my name and address fully matching what I entered on Seller Central during registration and I uploaded it. Guess what? Rejected again by the bot
I’m really out of options and need help from the seller community or a moderator who can get a real human to look at this.
Recent Case IDs:
Case: 15561823531
Case: 15560917191
Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

A Sales Tax License is NOT a utility bill.
Yes, that's the reason for the rejection.
Print, scan, send. A download from the provider's site will not work.
And name and address of course has to match your "Legal Entity" in your seller account settings.
No need to create cases. Seller support will not invest time to verify your documents and to tell you WHAT is wrong or missing.

Feels bad, you got a dinkus to respond to you first. Probably forgot to drink thier coffee today. Don't sell here. That issue your having will be one of many to come. Amazon doesn't follow thier own policies, scammers everywhere and violation glitches and violations that are wrong and you'll spend hours of your time trying to explain to that bot ridden site, why they're wrong and your right to get no where. Uploading documents has to be perfect to their hidden requirements. We uploaded invoices once and were told we manipulated them, suspended 96 days, $10,000s held. They verified the invoices with supplier at 2 week and 4 week interval, yet kept it suspended for another 2 months. They also took away contact us page and no way to contact them during that. There will be no apology, our bad, or anything. Account just popped back up to sell again and since that moment, we haven't invested much time here because they are an extremely disrepectful company. You can do everything right, but they'll make you feel like you're a newb, having not sold 8 figures worth of merchandise. The more money they make, the less support they offer. They used to have good support because they needed us. When we setup out account a decade ago, they onboarded us with a rep reaching out and helping us through it all. For a few years, you could actually get help and they slowly ruined it. Banging your head against the wall will give you the same result.

Well, you are making some mistakes.
First. just wait. With 9.1 million registered sellers on the site before you arrived, most likely Amazon is in no rush to get one more.
Second, you do not know how many others have applied before you and are ahead of you in the line, 258 or 4352. You do not know how many employees Amazon has assigned to vet new sellers,2 or 7.
Third, remember Amazon cases work the same as being placed on hold with the telephone. Only make one case, and do not keep bothering Amazon about it. This way, your case will move quicker to the top of the pile. Every time sellers send another inquiry, or open a new case, it is like hanging up and starting over. They are moved to the bottom of the line. Some new sellers ever get a response because they send inquiries every day.
Remember, everything must match. in name and address on all documents. including your Amazon account name. If you live in the USA , that should be easy. If you reside outside the USA, your business must be located in the USA, not a foreign country.

I call them instead of using the email option. They always use BOTS to answer and it's always email templates. You must select the "call me now" option and when in the US it is usually after midnight that I can reach someone. Around 2am PST. It's taken my company almost a year to get two of our 12 listings going. Very frustrating and costly.

Hello @Seller_Z1fpfDNzr5W4I,
Thank you for posting your concerns with identity verification.
As mentioned by @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC a tax license will not be accepted as we can only accept specific documentation that validates your address and personal information.
When it comes you your utility bill you already mentioned differences in the way things are abbreviated which shows a difference. These documents are required to match 100%.
If your utility bill does not match your account, you will be required to update your account or the utility bill so we can fully verify you and the business. Did you register your account with the same information mentioned in your utility bill? Please review our seller identity verification help page for more guidance on what these utility bills require.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
Emet.
