Amazon gave me the Axe.... after 15 years
So I guess it was my turn.
After 15 years selling here, I unfortunately think we are done. I have an item that I purchased 1-2021, listed it within days but unfortunately it sat in my inventory. Never sold one on Amazon but I know that does not matter.
Being told that my invoice is too old, system will not let me "admit my error", I just keep getting bot responses at this point saying the invoice is too old. I know this, but Im not sure what else to do.
It was a nice ride, but at this point if I cant reactivate, Im going to cancel Prime and all my Amz subscriptions and move on - I guess now I will have more time to concentrate on my teaching and my PhD.
I will pop by every now and then. Be well everyone.

They deactivated your account because of an old invoice? Was there an "inauthentic" complaint?
As any sane person would do - regardless of the outcome of this particular situation! 😂
I have nothing to do with Amazon other than my small selling venture. I haven't bought here in years.

Same boat. Been here 10+ years. Some of my inventory has been sitting collecting dust for years. I don't sell a lot of stuff with fast turn-overs. I suspect at any given time, half of my inventory doesn't have new invoices. Prepped a year or 2 ago for what is to come and now sales are so minor, it no longer justifies the expenses for my listing manager and seller fees to list here anyways. I switched my listing manager from yearly to monthly just 2 months ago...time is running out....

Best of luck, I am glad you have a plan B. I don't anymore. Im getting too old for the rat race.
Maybe you can sell something else, or re-order and get a new invoice? I am always afraid to do any changes, as I had my custom made product shipped over a year ago. They make me commit to 10,000.
11 years on here for me. I am waiting for my turn. They have tried by moving my categories around throughout the years. I sell one item, different colors, and yet some are in baby, home, adult section. I gave up trying to fix it. Support doesn't understand. Lol!
I have seen you in the forums, helping others, I hope you continue to do that.
Good luck, hopefully something you can sell comes to mind.

Lots of old seller accounts are being deactivated. I know a person whose account was deactivated recently and he was 8 years old seller doing around 30M+ in sales.
The main issue with your case is that Amazon ask for an year old invoice. Yours seems to be older than that.

Enjoy your new Life without annoying amazon. Moving Forward

You're just joining the mass exodus of the sellers who MADE Amazon. They don't want you anymore...
It's going to bite them in the butt...

The only thing you can try is to escalate this matter to a executive level email. You can find the addresses online, but I can't post it on here because its against TOS.

I can totally see this happening, and it totally blows. I've enjoyed your input here, and good luck with the PhD. I hope you can take what you've learned here and make life miserable for Amazon-the-seller. They're training an army of disaffected sellers how to work a system they've grown to hate.
