Vacation mode To cold to ship would be nice to have it listed as such, not just Unavailable

So with the winter blast coming next week highs still below freezing or way worse, I'm setting vacation mode on as i cannot ship 95 % of my FBM items. It would be really nice Amazon, if there was a notice or statement that i could put on the listings/store as a whole that shipping resumes xx date / Cold Winter Blast shipping will resume next week or whatever. over just the statement of " Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." I have stock listed on the items. These are ALL branded items, were the only seller, and there not cold tolerant.

other options that would be useful overriding ALL handling times ( even sku specific) to a date or set number of days so for this example Friday 1-24 when the highs are back above freezing

I cannot / will not manually change all these listings skus then have to change them back, and as far as i can find you cannot have a shipping template with a different handling time.

We pack properly etc , so under "normal" temperatures things are fine. Any ideas or thoughts on this. Im being proactive in this closing, its rare we have issues but with these extremes I figured better safe then sorry and end up replacing refunding and or bad reviews or feedback

I know this is kind of specific to us and or other sellers that have these type of products, well see if they reap the rewards or get Hammered i guess

OK, vacation mode will keep you from getting orders when YOU don't want to ship due to weather condition but WHAT do you do when your weather is fine for shipping?

Do you check the weather forecast for every location that your item is GOING TO?

Just because your temperatures are OK does not mean that mine will be when the package arrives.

Today it is 19 degrees and Thursday it will be 35 followed by over 40 on Friday.

Let's not talk about Sunday at 2 degrees. Monday, a HIGH of MINUS 3, and Tuesday a balmy 4 degrees.

Unless you have found some magic way of limiting your sales to ONLY warm locations (I've been on here over 15 years and AMAZON requires me to ship to all of the 'Lower 48) you are at risk about 4 months of the year no matter what the temperature is at your location.

Find a product that you don't consider 'seasonal' for the winter months!
