"My account was suspended due to product Authenticity. I submitted invoice"

An 'invoice' might be from an authorized distributor or it could be from a gray market source and is not acceptable.

There are two important questions that you need to address these days for selling on Amazon --

DO YOU have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here?

DID YOU source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK?

For any rookies out there reading this, please take the following information into account so you don't end up where the OP is!

If you don't already have these in place you are probably going to have stranded inventory.

HINT #1 -- VACATION MODE -- NOW!

HINT #2 -- SELLER U -- NOW!

https://sell.amazon.com/learn

HINT #3 -- Start writing your "please help with my Section 3 suspension' letter NOW. It will save you time when you get it.

Pay attention to this recent story in the Amazon 'news' from September 25, 2024 --

"Updates to listing products with compliance requirements, effective September 30, 2024"

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/headlines.html?id=GTF566XNEPCPXKDM&ref=nslp_at_6_GTF566XNEPCPXKDM_en-US_ttl_rf_recent_news_7

Sellers were given a 5 day warning that this was being put in place. Sellers have posted that LOAs are required in Europe, you can see the handwriting on the walls -- this is coming for EVERYTHING on Amazon eventually!

"Now my Account health shows no violation."

This is meaningless. Amazon is finally holding sellers responsible for having everything in place before they start selling. If they get a complaint from a brand you probably won't get a warning about anything and will likely be suspended immediately.

In cases like this, Amazon did not accepted your invoice and you'll need to provide a valid invoice from your supplier in order to reinstate your account. The invoice must meet the following criteria:

Clearly display an issue date within the past 365 days before you received the performance notification.

  1. Show quantities sufficient to cover your sales volumes for each ASIN cited in the performance notification over the past 365 days.
  2. Include sales records for each ASIN associated with the policy violation. You can choose to highlight the specific product you are appealing for if the invoice has multiple items.
  3. Contain easy-to-understand product identifiers like product name, model number, or UPC that can be validated online.
  4. Provide the contact information of your supplier, including name, phone, address, and website. This information will be kept confidential.

It's crucial that the invoice you submit is authentic and unaltered. You can remove pricing information, but all other details must be clear and visible. Amazon may reach out to your supplier to verify the information, but they will keep your supplier's details confidential. So make sure the information on the invoice matches what Amazon would find if they were to check your supplier's website or call them. Providing accurate and verifiable supplier details is key.

One important note - the invoice must document completed and fulfilled transactions, not just a sales quote or pro forma invoice. Self-issued invoices or ones where the supplier appears to be the same business entity as the buyer will not be accepted.

Visit the page Invoice requirements for appealing a policy violation for more information.

I hope this guidance helps you put together the necessary documentation to appeal your account suspension. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We're here to support you through this process.

Best regards,

-Roxy
