Is it a valid credit card or a debit card? Debit cards will work for charging fees, but you need a valid credit card (charges interest and you get a bill) to list or sell on Amazon.

As @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9notes Amazon claims that debit cards will work BUT be sure that you put the card into the BUYER side FIRST.
There have been a large number of cases indicating that it needs to go there before it will work properly on the seller side.
About debit cards -- AMAZON has changed the wording on the policy to indicate that debit cards are accepted now BUT there are numerous posts indicating that they might NOT work in all markets.
Amazon has so many gerbil tubes of rules, policies, links, etc. that NOTHING ever works 100% of the time on here. It's NOT a 'river' it's a site based on a swamp/quagmire/quicksand foundation.
