Returned Items are getting automatically refunded. Customer returned wrong item, and now I can't file SAFE-T Claim. Why is this happening?
We have not changed any of the return settings, but we have several items that are returned by customers that get automatically refunded less than 1 day after we receive them.
I also have a customer that returned the wrong item, but was supposed to return a $200 item, but the order was automatically refunded less than 1 day after receiving it, before we could even process the return.
When we tried to open a SAFE-T claim, it says "This order is not eligible for a SAFE-T claim because you have issued a refund to the customer. Only refunds issued to customers by Amazon, on behalf of sellers, are eligible for reimbursement."
This is so frustrating, why is this happening?

Hey there @Seller_SlWB0EOdRzvPk- appreciate you posting here for some insight on this order and refund experience.
As I review the Order ID, I see the refund was initiated by the seller on 9/6 after the return was completed on 9/5. Per our help page on SAFE-T Claims, it is correct that orders that have been previously refunded by the seller are not eligible for a claim to be filed. As you mention seeing this order was refunded automatically, you can use the process for Refund at First Scan for seller-fulfilled returns to determine if this was the refund mechanism. If you continue to see any discrepancies, it may become necessary to create a case with our seller support team for more technical troubleshooting.
As you do so, feel free to share that case ID with me so I can monitor and help advise from my end as well!
Thanks,
Danny
