On time delivery rating

Hi, so I'm wondering how things work regarding this. If i ship all my packages on time and there are delays happen from USPS that I have no control over, do I still get penalized / my rating lowered because of it?

If you buy your shipping through Amazon's "Buy Shipping", and you ship on time (meaning that there is a real scan at the post office prior to your ship-by time), then Amazon should cover any customer complaints due to late arrival, and it should not count against your ODR. (I say "Should" because that is the policy; sometimes, reality differs slightly).

However, if it becomes common, then Amazon may reduce the options available to you for shipping transit times, and show customers a longer time frame.

If you ship late (or even ship on time, but it doesn't get scanned), or don't buy your postage through Amazon, then it counts against your ODR, and Amazon does not cover any refund requests from customers for INR or late delivery.
