Clearly Showing That's not a generic Product It's Listed Under Brand Name and Brand Pictures, Please help

Hey Amazon,
Case id: 14515836871
im trying to create a new offer on a product B0CHNK19QF
that currently has a listing but whenever i click to add it as a new product on seller central i am greeted with a generics error code 5885. however, the listing is a branded product not a generic product. from my understanding i should be able to create a new offer on this listing. could anyone shed some light on this???

Clearly Showing That's not a generic Product It's Listed Under Brand Name and Brand Pictures.
I've attached pictures that clearly show the listing is branded and listed under the brand name, not as a generic product. Please open the investigation accordingly. Most of the responses from your Seller Support seem automated, and it appears that the agents may not fully understand the issue, merely copy-pasting templates

Amazon catalog is packed full with branded products listed as generic. All you can do is go to the listing, find the "report wrong product information" button and select issue : brand and then state Brand name is......, this is not generic

Had this same issue with a different listing, don't even bother contacting support they'll do anything they can to not help and will all send you the same copy and paste non-answer. I just gave up on trying because nobody at amazon helps sellers or tries fixing issues in the marketplace.

You are right, this product is falseley and against the rules listed as Generic.
And SINCE it is listed as Generic, the bots think that it IS Generic. And lately, there are no new sellers admitted on generic listings. That's why you will NOT be able to join this listing. Read here:

I have posted on the issue of improperly branded products. Amazon lets this slide all the time because it makes them money. However, if you do it and get caught, they will change it or ding you. It is all about sales volume. I have reported this and had mods step in. Then, the mods disappear and nothing changes.

The new rules for listings under "Generic" branding are more than backwards. A seller is able to lie and claim an item is generic, creating a scenario where no one other than the seller who claimed the item was generic gets to sell the item on Amazon. How is this somehow beneficial to anyone except the sellers trying to skirt the rules?

This is common now. Amazon has no idea what they're doing when it comes to this issue.
Solutions:
1. upload via flatfile. This works sometimes
2. Create a case asking for approval to sell this item. Seller "support" ( can't believe they're still called that) will need the asin, the sku you were going to use, the title of the listing, and real world images from you.

Hello @Seller_HFCkMkHD4tGOu- thanks for starting this discussion here on the forums, and thanks to all those who have chimed in with helpful responses. I can confirm that creating a new listing against a product identified as 'generic' is not supported under the recent update to the Generic Product Policy.
For instances like this if you discover listings that violate, or appear to violate, Amazon selling policies, please do report them via the report a violation pathway so our teams can investigate. While they may not always be able to share the results of an investigation, submissions are reviewed for appropriate action.
If you do have branded products you are looking to sell, you may want to read through this page specific to applying for approval.
I hope this helps, but please do let me know if I can help address any further questions on this.
Best,
Danny
