Books are returned for a wrong reason after just before 30 days allowed by Amazon to avoid a partial refund!
New books come back as no longer needed and used and have no value! Amazon refunds as soon as they ship back and there is no chance for us to do a partial refund.
Automatic returns without my consent by Amazon is costly .
Amazon charges too much for returns by UPS.

You are preaching to the choir. There have been hundreds/thousands of posts about the difficulties of selling books on Amazon.
More and more sellers are going elsewhere to sell. Amazon has lost track of the reasons it started and no longer cares about books, in particular USED books.
Throw that in with all the publishers doing whitelisting of who is allowed to sell their titles and there are many other less expensive outlets with BETTER seller support than you find here any longer.

Unfortunately the points made by @NEVERLAST are valid. I hope you are able to adjust your online sales model in order to avoid getting new books back in used condition.
