USPS has signature, buyer says mail carrier fraudulently signed his name and never delivered
Greetings All,
This seems exceedingly fishy. Looking for your opinions.
Buyer was not available when USPS first attempted delivery Monday. Buyer then rescheduled delivery for Tuesday. USPS says they delivered package on Tuesday and obtained signature. We requested proof of delivery from USPS and it shows signature. Then we received this message today (Wednesday) after buyer said they couldn't find the package:
Yeh I have looked everywhere - it's not here. I spoke to the post office today and filed a claim. They were in touch with the driver and confirmed he signed my name and falsely recorded that he handed the package to me. I was away all day yesterday at a work client, had emails from my manager confirming it and I have video footage of the time when the dude said he handed it to me and he never left his mail truck. I tried to get reimbursed from the post office but they said you had to file a claim? I went out today and got a ssd from Best Buy so you'll need to give me a refund and work with the USPS on getting reimbursed.
How should we handle this?
Thanks in advance!

Get the proof of delievery from USPS, send it over to customer via message. Tell them package delivered and signed by someone with that address.
-
Check and make sure you shipped on Time, and USPS scanned your package on "Ship By Date according to usps tracking.

Search forum for INR Template on this Forum and ask buyer to file an A-Z with Amazon or Call Amazon customer Service. This is not a USPS lost mail issue, is an Amazon INR issue.

Hi @Seller_ADT4AMRQufvMxand thanks for reaching out. I'm Danika from the Community Manager team.
The answer depends on how you shipped this item. If you used AMSS, then you're covered for a Safe-T claim. If you didn't use AMSS, then you'll need to file a claim with USPS to get your money back
