Products are getting flagged incorrectly as pesticides for NO GOOD REASON
I don't understand what they are doing with the bots. I have 4 ASINS that have been flagged (2 already removed) in the last few days. The only thing I can think that is flagging is "Bio." 1 of these products said "Bio-based" (As in PLANT based) and the other 2 said "Biodegradable" as in breaks down naturally. I'm getting really angry about these bots. One of them was an air freshener that said "Odor eliminator" and that is what the seller support agent that I spoke to thinks triggered it. Really? It didn't say (nor does the product claim) to kill odor causing bacteria. It just eliminates odors! The people who write these things have no idea what ANYTHING means.
This needs to be fixed!!!!

My listing is also flagged as pesticide , even if my product certified as Oeko tex and Climate pledge friendly.
The system does not permit to edit my listing it's only seen "You need approval to list this ASIN. "
Amazon gave me only 2 days for an appeal. Great. I don't know what to to do

Hello @Seller_HP0CuTSNvJvu9,
I'm sorry you're running into this issue. I've contacted our partner team and requested assistance with reviewing this in more detail. I'll follow up as soon as I hear back from them.
Regards,
- Manny

Thanks. I got them reactivated by adding the manufacturer's EPA Establishment number and marking them as "Not a pesticide" but I don't think that is the correct solution in the long run. These particular products don't require EPA registration at all. One of them we even manufacturer. It's fortunate that we have an EPA Establishment number ourselves for some disinfectants (actual pesticides) that we manufacturer but choose not to sell on Amazon otherwise we'd be SOL on our brand laundry detergent that got pulled. The bot needs to be fixed, pure and simple.

An AI is flagging these listings based on trigger words. You just have to appeal as they come up and provide an EPA # if applicable or a picture of the product ingredients detailing that none of them are a pesticide according to EPA ingredients database

My listing has been flagged as a shoe when it is clearly a ring. and I haven't gotten any communication from any rep regarding my case. the issue has not been solved by anyone. I have issued a case 3-4 times already.

Had the same problem here. This is the reply from Amazon:
Recommended changes to be done: Kindly update a valid EPA registered or an EPA number under pesticide marking attribute in CSI for further review.

Our spray bottle has nothing to do with pesticide. So how can my listing be reinstated?

Amazon bots never learn. They use sellers to train the catalog. Free labor!

That's the problem. Biodegradable shouldn't be a trigger word for a pesticide product.

The AI bots are out of control on FIFRA filters. Our Amazon SAS Core Rep said that since January 2024, their teams have seen a massive increase in false negatives and overzealous bot take downs of listings. Sounds like internally, Amazon employees are just as frustrated as sellers. We've been asked to "be patient while we all reteach the AI".
It would be great if Amazon had a team on the 'call me now' account health feature and you could speak to a rep that has actual EPA/FIFRA knowledge. I'd love to speak to a human expert who can review what the AI flagged and help with me with an actual path forward. Even when I do supply our EPA registration numbers on actual pesticides, Amazon makes me jump through so many hurdles and smash my head into break walls before it gets fixed.

Take the course. Fill out the pesticide information: EPA establishment number. This is not a pesticide. They have attached this to most of my seeds. I just fill in the info for each seed.
No sense in trying to fight it.
