Products are getting flagged incorrectly as pesticides for NO GOOD REASON
I don't understand what they are doing with the bots. I have 4 ASINS that have been flagged (2 already removed) in the last few days. The only thing I can think that is flagging is "Bio." 1 of these products said "Bio-based" (As in PLANT based) and the other 2 said "Biodegradable" as in breaks down naturally. I'm getting really angry about these bots. One of them was an air freshener that said "Odor eliminator" and that is what the seller support agent that I spoke to thinks triggered it. Really? It didn't say (nor does the product claim) to kill odor causing bacteria. It just eliminates odors! The people who write these things have no idea what ANYTHING means.
This needs to be fixed!!!!

Amazon bots never learn. They use sellers to train the catalog. Free labor!

That's the problem. Biodegradable shouldn't be a trigger word for a pesticide product.

The AI bots are out of control on FIFRA filters. Our Amazon SAS Core Rep said that since January 2024, their teams have seen a massive increase in false negatives and overzealous bot take downs of listings. Sounds like internally, Amazon employees are just as frustrated as sellers. We've been asked to "be patient while we all reteach the AI".
It would be great if Amazon had a team on the 'call me now' account health feature and you could speak to a rep that has actual EPA/FIFRA knowledge. I'd love to speak to a human expert who can review what the AI flagged and help with me with an actual path forward. Even when I do supply our EPA registration numbers on actual pesticides, Amazon makes me jump through so many hurdles and smash my head into break walls before it gets fixed.

Take the course. Fill out the pesticide information: EPA establishment number. This is not a pesticide. They have attached this to most of my seeds. I just fill in the info for each seed.
No sense in trying to fight it.

I had that also with one of my products because I mentioned that people use it to feed plants. And then I had weeks of convincing them it was not plant food, fertilizer etc.
Now I have a problem with another product because the title says it's helpful for tube feeding - and Amazon insists I am selling feeding tubes - a medical product. I am not - not even close to selling a medical product. I even submitted an image showing what a feeding tube is and what I am selling. They keep demanding FDA info etc. Soooo frustrating.
And, I once had a product taken down because I suggested using a baby bottle brush to clean my item - and Amazon took down my listing for selling baby bottles. I hope your problem gets resolved and I wish Manny_Amazon would help me. This is so frustrating. Probably the main reason most sellers don't dare to touch their listings with improvements etc - it can create an earthquake.
Wishing you well,
Simon

Not all companies have an EPA Establishment number. They aren't going to register if they don't need to be registered because they don't manufacture pesticides.

Doesn't matter. Do it any way, None of my seeds fit any of the categories so we went with the closest.
But you can fight it and watch as your stuff is removed.

Yep. You never know what new landmine has been thrown out there. I sell about 14,000 items on my website, 6,500 of them are "A" items. I sell only about 320 items on Amazon. It's not worth it to venture too far into the weeds here.

Had this happen, took 2 days to recover and over 10 cases

Use a fake EPA registration number? Great advice, what are you one of my competitors? lol.
