Switching a registered brand from one seller account to another

Hi,

I have one seller account and two brands registered with this account. I would like to separate the brands and give them each their own seller account.

I have a few questions:

1) Does Amazon currently allow sellers to have multiple seller accounts without restriction?

2) What are the best steps to take to move a brand from one seller account to a new seller account to ensure a smooth process without a lot of room for unexpected issues?

Thank you for your time,

Tara Comrie

It is allowed for seller to have different seller account for different brands.. they thing is, there is no place where they explain if it is allowed to have the same listing temporarily active in both accounts while the transfer happens ( and while the stock gets depleted in the old account)

Hello @Seller_30E3yazq4KKRU,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I answer your 1st question:

  1. Yes, you can have multiple seller accounts, but there are restrictions. Mainly, they have to be completely separate. For more specifics, please review the Comply with Amazon’s Multiple Account policy Seller University video.

For your second question, I defer to our Seller Community for best practices. Some things to keep in mind, make sure once the new selling account is created, that you add that account to your Brand Registry account with the proper roles. This is self-service, and the instructions are in the linked Manage your Brand Registry Selling Roles guide.

Thanks to @Seller_hitOfPSI4QN8w for their input and raising an important consideration, All the resources I found discuss how to create the account and do not mention how to transfer inventory. I am curious to see what other Sellers suggest as I do not have direct experience in this area.

Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best, Dougal
