MOD Help Please: Customer couldn't remove negative feedback so left a 5-star review stating "Excellent Customer Service"

Greetings,

A buyer left us a 1-star feedback when their order arrived damaged. We were able to resolve her issues and asked her to consider updating or removing her feedback. A week ago we used the "Contact Customer" button from the feedback manager that sends a link to update the feedback. Unfortunately, she missed that communication. She responded today that she couldn't find a button to update/remove the feedback, so she left us a 5-star review stating, "Excellent Customer Service".

  • Support couldn't help to remove the feedback, they said I would need to educate the buyer on how to remove it.

Negative Feedback:

  • 01/24/2025 1 113-3206222-8344246
  • Came damaged. It’s like they purposely sent me a damaged can

Let me share what I found in the help documentation that might help.

The good news is that since the feedback is from January 24, your buyer still has time to remove it. According to the help page on feedback removal, buyers can remove feedback within 60 days of posting it. Under the section "When buyers want to remove feedback," you'll find these steps you can share with your buyer:

  1. Go to amazon.com/feedback
  2. Click on "Completed Feedback"
  3. Scroll down to locate the feedback
  4. Click "Remove"
  5. Select a reason and click "Remove"

This customer tried to remove the feedback twice. She said there was a glitch and the feedback was no longer showing up for her to remove. Since she was unable to remove the feedback, to attempt to remedy the situation she left us a 5-star review stating "Excellent Customer Service". Could someone please look at our communications and determine that she wanted the feedback removed?
