Original price and list price are not showing- just the sale price
Hello,
I'm sorry to sound like complaining, just frustrated. my original list price does not show on my listings only the sale price. So the buyer doesn't know its on sale. there are many other sellers with similar products are that show their list price with the strike through. I have called customer service and the answer doesn't make sense. I have sold it for the list price before. I have attached several screen shots showing that right next to my item another item shows the strikethrough. Do I need to lower m list price to make Amazon happy?
this is their latest response: "I have looked at this ASIN, and there is a value for list price, but to comply with Amazon rules, the list price is not displayed.
We regularly check List Prices shown on our site against prices recently found on Amazon and other retailers’ sites.
If a List Price you provided for your product is not appearing on the site, it may be because we were unable to find recent examples of the product offered at that price. "
But the answer sounds General not as if it pertains exactly to my listings. It says there is a value for that list price... what does that mean. Its not clear why it's not showing it.
Thank you if you can guide me in any way.

No, you do not need to change your pricing, and if those who you spoke with were actual sellers, they would have been able to give you the answer.
I don't know how you list items for sale or how many items you have listed, but we can go s high as 100,000 some weeks. They are not listed by using the unloadable spreadsheet, we do them one at a time. Different listings on Amazon have different listing page formats, some going back 20 years. Over the years Amazon has changed the listing formats, all for improvement of course. However, this has caused the problem you are finding.
Some listing formats are not programed to accept the sale with a slash threw that you desire, and Amazon has no desire to reformat those millions of listings that will not allow it.

Hey @Seller_Y6kw4ZDaLTnNH, no need to apologize for being frustrated - I wanted to provide this help page that should answer your question, specifically the following line: "For a List Price to display, it must represent the price at which you or other retailers or sellers have recently made substantial sales of the product in question, and your offer must be lower than the List Price."
Another seller also explained this well in this thread if you'd like to hear their explanation! Let me know if you have other questions.
