Better to Open a New Amazon Account for My U.S. LLC or Update My Existing Account?

Hi everyone,

I currently have an Amazon Seller Central account registered under my company from Turkey . It’s a new account with no sales or reviews yet. I have access to sell in 15 countries.

Recently, I formed a U.S.-based LLC with its own EIN, virtual office address (with a unique suite number), U.S. bank account, and separate contact information. Now I’m looking to sell in the U.S. market under this new U.S. entity.

I’m considering two options and would really appreciate your advice or experiences:

Option 1: Open a New Seller Account for My U.S. LLC

I would request Amazon’s written permission first.

The account would use entirely different credentials (email, phone, IP, tax ID, bank, etc.).

It would allow clean legal/tax separation and a fresh start for the U.S. business.

Risk: Amazon may deny or flag it if not handled properly.

Option 2: Update My Existing Account with the New U.S. LLC Info (for U.S. Marketplace)

I could change the legal entity and tax info for the U.S. only, using the LLC’s EIN and address.

This would avoid the need for a second account but might cause issues with verification or mismatches.

I’m concerned this could trigger compliance checks or account reviews, even though I have no history yet.

Has anyone here faced a similar situation? Which path would you recommend in 2025 for the safest and most scalable approach?

Multiple selling accounts on Amazon

You may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.

Examples of a legitimate business justification include:

  • You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
  • You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
  • You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts

If you have additional questions here, I'd strongly recommend reaching out directly to Seller Support and outlining exactly what you are hoping to accomplish, being as detailed as possible and they should be able to advise you for your individual circumstances.
