Listing Hijacked by Chinese Seller, Amazon won't change it back
Case log 17233173941
Short version, 2024 Chinese seller changed GTIN exempted ASIN for a brand we're authorized to sell since 2016. Amazon won't change back without Brand Registry.
Longer upset emotional version,
Such a simple concept to look at an ASIN change log and see that a Chinese seller sometime in 2024 changed the brand name. This information is logged internally. This was a GTIN exempted approved brand from 2016 that doesn't have a website. The part #s on their packages are stickers, and this particular brand doesn't brand packaging, just instruction sheets, hence Amazon doesn't accept that as proof.
Contacting Amazon they want us to go through brand registry. We don't own the brand. The brand wants nothing to do with Amazon, which is why we're the exclusive seller to it and handle everything with their written permission. Permission that was allowed by Amazon in 2016. I have to admit though, the brand did have a site up back then. They took it down because the owner focused on other business, but they still manufacturer for us. Back when an Amazon rep, from the United States, helped us setup product here. Back when Amazon actually gave you decent support.
I've provided them screen shots of the same product, smaller piece sets. Literally same model in images, same brand name. The entire ASIN still has the brand on it, title, description and manufacturer info. But the Brand line is wrong.
So, anyone with common sense would go yeah, I see that, yeah our change log shows it was changed and yeah, we're changing it back. A less than 10-minute CS interaction should occur. But no, automated decline, our hands are tied support, jump through tons of hoops just to change it back. Meanwhile being told it's impossible to change brand names on ASINs and being told to abandon a 5.0 star ASIN to create a new one so the Chinese seller can take full control.
This is still an ongoing issue at Amazon. From a buying perspective on Prime account, tired of finding the same product, 40 different names printed on it, 25 of those listings hijacked for feedback or changed by Chinese seller from one product to another internally. The Chinese sellers, like always, play by shady tactics and the Amazon Chinese support apparently does too. Because the American support immediately shuts us down and this is just changing it back! lol
What a mockery of a professional marketplace. For once, can I just point out an issue and have it fixed immediately? geez

Hi there @Seller_CA70ZtA5VBcto,
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns with this ASIN. In general Seller Support is unable to override Brand information and the ASIN must be reported via the Report A Violation tool in order to have any actions taken on it. However I am currently reaching out to my internal escalation team to see what options I can offer. Thank you for your understanding.
