Amazon has Changed it's Search Algorithm Resulting in Huge Sales Loss
Why are they not being transparent about it? There is no way that sales fall 50-70% within a year or 2, and being due to the economy or competition. This is an Amazon change. As a small business, one can diversify and sell through differing channels as to not be solely attached to Amazon. The problem is Amazon owns SO much of the online retail market share. What the hell are they doing? It's strangling and killing businesses. Is that the goal?

bring back RELEVANT SEARCH. Nobody trusts a platform that is mostly ads and ad affiliated products. This pay to play model [moderator edit]. NO shopper wants to buy from unrelated ads per their search.

Lastly, you Amazon. We've been more than good to you. The changes you've made have pretty much destroyed our business. We've sold all our stock, we've sold a car, our partner went and got another job. The orders that come in now barely.....barely cover the cost of ordering materials, and the stress of sometimes not being able to order. you. I slept at my store for almost 6 months for you. I'm not complaining, I was happy to do so. I felt like we were growing, felt like their was a future. I was wrong. I was really wrong because you don't care about your sellers. You are not transparent with them in any way. Your method is constant scare tactics, and threats threats and fear. It's all anxiety causing while you business's like slow boiling a frog. Your tactics are despicable. I don't care anymore. Don't care of suspension. Just don't care.

Update your content, use higher quality images, use PPC advertising. If you aren't selling, it's your own problem.
Correct, nobody trusts ads. They DO trust well-reviewed products with good content that just so happens to appear in ads.

amazon has become very expensive for samll businesses, amazon ads has been broken it will not work in the long run, we are selling for free on amazon, getting no profit at all while amazon profits grwoing in every quarter even in this economic condition. Where is this money is comming from? We are paying for it.

I agree 💯 I started work as a FBA seller it's about 6 to 7 months and I got a single sell in the SEP. And now I didn't get any sale yet. It's just decreasing my listing rank day by day.

I feel your pain. Been selling on here for several years and took some time off for a little less than a year. Just started selling again and it is pretty much dead. What I used to sell in 1 day is now taking 2 weeks on average. It can not have gone from full speed to 0 in such a period of time. Was definitely expecting slower sales due to the economy and upcoming elections, but there is definitely something else going on and I see I am not alone.
The only way items are selling now is if I list them for a significant loss. I saw this day coming when they changed the Buy Box AI, just did not think it would be so soon. Looks like I too will need to be looking for a new job soon.

What you say is 100% true. If you look up most products using a PC computer you will see the limit almost EVERY search to a maximum of 7 pages of results!!!! They are hiding better matches and/or cheaper items on purpose!!!! What a SCAM they have become to both sellers and buyers!
