Restricted Product Policy Violation

Hello,

I have been dealing with a Restricted Product Policy Violation for a while now. The product in question is an argan oil hair care oil with the ASIN code B0D5LH81SY on Amazon.com. I purchase my products from Amazon.com and sell them on Amazon.ca. I received a violation notice claiming that the product contains Lidocaine and is a prescription or pharmacy-only item, which has caused my account health to drop to 192 points.

I have repeatedly sent Amazon photos of the product’s ingredients and the invoice. The product is not prescription-based; I easily ordered it online myself. I haven’t sold the product, nor do I wish to list it. Additionally, the product does not contain Lidocaine. I have shared the ingredient information with Amazon, but I keep receiving the same automated emails requesting the same information.

The exact same product is listed on Amazon.ca with the ASIN code B0DDC3XRD7. Despite being the same product with the same ingredients, I do not understand how this is possible. I hope someone can assist me with this issue.

Regarding case ID 15757186981, due to the inclusion of additional documents, I was unable to upload all of the product photos as there was insufficient space. I have attached the photos here. I do not wish to list or sell the product; I only request the removal of the violation.

So you are aware, in most situations the resolution of the violation requires the ASIN to be reinstated. Looking over the situation, I do see that there was a concern with the product description:

Policy Violation Reason: "This product has been identified as containing the active ingredient Lidocaine, and is classified as a prescription-only or pharmacy-only product. Amazon’s policy prohibits the sale or listing of prescription or pharmacy-only products. For more information, please refer to Amazon's Restricted Products Policy."

Due to the reasons mentioned in the product description, the product was removed from the listing, leading to a restricted product violation on our account and negatively affecting our account health.

It would seem that the product and attributes were deleted per recent communication, as they mentioned this does not make the listing compliant, nor does it address the policy violation. You will need to ensure that the listing includes valid pictures of the product including a clear picture of the ingredient list. You will also need to make sure "ALL" listing attributes are 100% compliant with these policies and do no reference or mention restricted ingredients. Once the listing is updated, you will need to follow up on this related case to advise on compliance with these policies. This will trigger the appropriate teams to review your listing, if accepted, the ASIN violation will be removed and reinstated.
