Amazon Counted EXTRA units and i have Zero recouse to FIX

i had a shipment off a 100 units sent to amazon. they got the shipment on 1/04/2024 and counted 100 units. 2 days later amazon counted 85 extra units. i posed on the forums about it and they said "50/50" problem will fix its self. If the problem fixed its self great! if not, I just needed to wait till I could dispute the problem and load up some documents/ proof of delivery. Ok awesome , I have these documents, no problem.

I could be wrong but the original date i could challenge the shipment was i think around the 21st of January. so i waited and the 21st went by. on the 22nd it said wait till xxxxx date. i said ok and waited. the date came and went. this happened 4 times till today 2/6/2024. Finally amazon said you have some discrepancies. I had all my documents in order went to upload them and BOOM. Not able to upload documents.

Im assuming it is because they already did the investigation that's why it took so long for me to be able to "dispute" the shipment.

Anyway i dont know how it is possible to add an extra 85 units. i cant even fit 185 units in the box i shipped. looking for Help.

Did YOU personally pack and ship or your manufacturer or some other provider? Without checking personally or paying a company doing the quality control these things can happen.

If these are really 85 identic extra products you don't have a big problem, on the contrary: you will have an extra benefit. But if this prduct consists maybe of TWO elements you will have a problem.

They did the same thing to me resulting a a bunch of "shipping errors". I package, count, re-count and send all of my inventory to FBA. I know for a FACT it was not my mistake. Zero recourse. Just like the bots disabling many of my listings for no good reason :(

There is also a possibility that another seller was caught selling this item. Amazon may have given you the extra items. Had this happen to me. Downside is you do not know how they are packaged or are they damaged.

My last 4 shipments Amazon said I had significantly more units than will fit in the box. It is impossible for them to have received what they said they did. I have tried to point that out because they are probably charging me for storage for units that don't exist and in every case they just say I am wrong, when actually there computer is wrong! I have given up trying to show them their error. I understand your dilemma completely.

Congrats - you got the 1% that actually has a counting error in their favor. We've had a similar situation as well years ago. Doesn't come close to offsetting the missing units though that certainly weren't "missing", nor was it ever "investigated". Gets us every single year.

FBA seems to only be working on small and lite objects that you can get 3x margins on hopefully, as Amazon loses so much, fraud returns, damaged items, lost shipment, lost transfers, giving items to other sellers, etc. It's a broken system.

Sadly, this happens a lot with FBA. They always push the date back multiple times for when they will "receive" all your units before you can "investigate" the shipment.

We always have discrepancies of some sort. It's maddening.

Just keep that case open until you get it resolved is my advice.

Best of Luck to you! :)

Im in the same boat. I have 20 units of each item send now they are telling me I have 35 of one unit and 5 of the other. Absolutely impossible for this to happen. Now they want proof and invoices. What kind of invoice would be they are looking for? Iv had the seller send me an official invoice with their stamp. But Amazon keep replying back saying it is not good enough. Any advice on what kind of invoice they want? as everytime I ask them I get a generic reply from FBA.
