Compliance scam from inside Amazon Canada
@Ricardo_Amazon
We are sellers of international brand collectible diecast cars. One of our new models was recently flagged by Amazon Canada as requiring "lab reports from a Canadian attested Laboratory.... blah... blah"
We appealed the requirement as the listing showed that the products are collectibles and NOT childrens toys.
The appeal was rejected stating that Amazon deemed them to be toys.
We obtained lab test reports that conform to the Canadian Toy standard requirements but were from a lab in Hong Kong. That same lab report is accepted by ALL retailers in Canada and North America as matching the safety requirements. These products are sold universally against the same lab report.
Amazon.ca rejected the lab reports without reason stating that they only were rejected.
Our listing was deactivated and we set about withdrawing our stock from FBA. We made strong objection in the case and were met with a blunt "rejected" - which is the standard response from those folks.
Today we have looked at the listing to find that there are several foreign sellers up and running and freely selling on Amazon.ca. Our product is on the way back to our home in Canada.
This is totally unacceptable that Amazon.ca should set hurdles for Canadian sellers and then allow foreign sellers to freely list and trade on this platform. Unfortunately there are no case numbers that these compliance folks can be referred to. This smacks of insider trading by that department

HI @Ricardo_Amazon
I received a mail today citing the case as follows
[CASE 16650281251] MERCHANT: AFZWSBKKFXZ63, ASIN: B0DG3YN9H5, Marketplace: A2EUQ1WTGCTBG2 - Children's Toys Test Report from an ISO 17025 Accredited Lab
If anybody could intervene that would be great. Our returned inventory began arriving here last night and we are expecting it all back soon. Fortunately most of it is now sold privately outside of the Amazon framework so our losses are not too severe.
Please take a look somebody - what is happening on compliance is just not acceptable.
