Package Missing - Amazon wants me to send a replacement??
Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the assumption that if I had shipped out a customers order and I had boughten the shipping label through Amazon, that I was covered under instances like this when package is missing.
I had shipped out an order to a customer that states it has gone missing. I directed them to contact Amazon to get refunded because their order's shipping label was purchased through Amazon and that Amazon handles instances like this when packages go missing and the label was purchased through Amazon.
Amazon has replied to me saying " Hello, This is Amazon. The customer reached us out because he did not received his package/item. Please provide a replacement for the item. Thank you!
Please respond to this request within 48 hours.
Thanks,
Amazon Customer Service"
What happened to Amazon covering/backing sellers?? I bought shipping via Amazon and tracking shows delivered.... what gives? Who is supposed to refund buyer?

That is an example of Seller Support passing on a buyer message.
Any reply you make goes to the buyer.
Just instruct them again to file a claim for non-receipt. They will have to wait (I think it's three days) past the end of the delivery deadline before they can file.

Hi @Seller_plNnHNTYtjQwE,
@Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bl has given the exact instructions I would I give. I wanted to provide a bit more information on what to do after the customer filed the non-receipt claim.
You may see an A-to-Z claim come up under the performance tab. If that is the case, you can follow the instructions on this help page to appeal the claim. Be sure to include information about on time shipping and the fact that you utilized Amazon's Buy Shipping service. You can use the criteria listed in this help page as a guide for what our claims team is typically looking for when deciding who is responsible for the claim.
Let me know if you have any questions on that information, or if need help with next steps once the customer claims the item as not received.
