Getting Paid has changed
Did you know that Amazon has now changed its way we get paid? You will not get paid every two weeks as before. You will not see the money in your account until the order has been delivered.
For me, a handmade seller, my products take me a great deal of time to create and ship. This new policy is one of the worst changes Amazon has done and heaven knows they have changed things around alot.

Thanks Mike,
Congrats on your very first post.
Did you happen to read this somewhere others can read about this? Or is it your personal experience?

Haven’t heard anything, can you post the policy here for us to look at.

They haven’t changed mine. Funds are made available once shipment is confirmed.

You seem to be talking about two different things. One is when the funds are first credited towards your Amazon balance. The other is when Amazon actually disburses those funds to your bank.
Are you saying that you no longer get a disbursement every two weeks, but instead get a disbursement every time an order gets delivered?
I think you mean to say that your disbursement scheduled hasn’t changed, but the timing of the funds that are eligible for disbursement has. If that’s the case, once you get past the first batch of delayed payments, things should revert back to normal - assuming you get a steady stream of orders.
For instance, if you average 5 orders a day, you would currently be paid as you shipped them. Let’s say it takes you a week to make an item, so each Monday, you would ship the 5 orders you received the previous Monday, and you would be credited for 5 order payments that day.
Under the new method, you would still be credited for roughly 5 orders each day, the only difference would be in the first week or two as Amazon shifted to the new method. After that, you should see deposits equalling roughly what they used to before the change. Assuming that your volume of orders stays the same.

You appear to have been selling since 2019. Did you take some time off and have your account go dormant? Or any metrics issues?
This may have moved your account to have an account level reserve.

One gets paid when marked as “shipped”. NOT when item delivered.
You must be new, there are different payment methods depending on your seniority.
Have been a seller since 2003 (grandfathered), I can make disbursements to my bank account every 24 hours if I wish.

Can you point us to where you learned about this change?

I am sorry but Amazon enterprise payments (and payments overall) are far behind any industry standards and innovation. This is why Apple can do buy now pay later and Amazon had to partner with Affirm. Amazon pay is irrelevant - and a non starter for most consumers and all enterprise -
The amazon payments engine is 15 years old - and often mis pays, pays late etc. It’s SAD but no suprise… i am a payments exec by day and can tell you this is the worst payments platfrom for any major ecommerce company (yes, i know, its high volume) but please understand payments scale well … so size/voume does not matter past a certain point

I am a great grandfather in life and on here…I can disburse once every 24 hours. Been on here since 2001 and great grandfathered in…lol

I just checked my account and am scheduled for my regular bi weekly payment on Tuesday and it will pay out everything marked mailed through Tuesday morning. I have a professional account, if that makes any difference.

I just checked mine and it is the same as it has always been. Not sure when it is available but I am FBA, so they are the ones shipping it. So that may also make the difference.
