Trouble about ungated the Grocery & Gourmet Foods
Hi,
I am a food distributor, and I am new to amazon. I import form the oversea brand owner and manufacturer directly. Almost all my products are Grocery & Gourmet Foods. I upload the invoice from the brand owner directly. I apply a few time to ungated "Grocery & Gourmet Foods", but it declined without no reason. Amazon approves the brand, but declined to ungated "Grocery & Gourmet Foods". I don't understand some of my customers purchase from us and get ungated and sell in amazon, but as a food distributor, It declined us without reason, I ask for explanation few time, it just reply " it did not pass our review." If they need more document, at lease it tell me what do they need.

Good Morning @Seller_XJOmpC6I1PjrS,
I wanted to reach out to you regarding this discussion on troubleshooting why you are being rejected from selling in the Grocery & Gourmet Food category.
I did see on a few of the cases, that there was feedback shared with you on why the applications were denied such as:
- The document provided is not legible. You must provide an invoice that is legible and ensure that no information other than pricing is redacted
- Product you were trying to list was misbranded, and is infringing on a third party’s rights
Information that the Selling Application team is looking for is:
- Copies of invoices, receipts, contracts, delivery orders or authorization letters from your supplier's supplier issued in the last 365 days.
- If you are not the brand owner, provide an authorization letter and a complete set of documentation to prove a valid supply chain.
- If you are the brand owner, provide a copy of the brand registration certificate, and business license or personal identity card.
These documents must include:
- Contact information for your supplier's supplier, including name, phone number, address, email, and website.
- A description of the item.
You can only send .pdf, .jpg, .png, or .gif files. These documents must be authentic and unaltered. You may remove pricing information but the rest of the document must be visible. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASINs under review.
I additionally wanted to share Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements.
Also, a letter of authorization can be a valuable to your appeal in these situations if you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.
If you want to take a look at our Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell that would be helpful in your case.
Lastly, if you have a relationship with the brand/publisher, you can to be added as an authorized 3rd party reseller through Brand Registry (but the brand has to add you on their end). Once that has occurred you can attempt to list again and if you still have any issues reach out to support letting them know you are now in the brand's Brand Registry approved list.
As this seems to be one of your first posts on the forums, I wanted to recommend using Seller University as your guide in avoid unnecessary fees, confusion about how to add a product and be aware of penalties that may occur on your Selling Account if policies are broken.
If you are not a part of the New Seller Community, I would highly suggest joining and reviewing the content in that group as well.
Please carefully review all the feedback shared above by the Selling Application team and myself. Let us know if you have any questions about any of the information provided above or you can reach out to Selling Partner Support at anytime. Have a wonderful rest of the week.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
