Scammer who sent back books filed an A-Z claim on already refunded transaction!

Scammer who sent back books instead of auto parts was refunded by Amazon's RFS system on June 6th. When the item arrived, we filed a SAFE-T claim and won on June 12th, getting 88% of the sale price of the item. It should have been over, right there.

I wake up to an A-Z claim settlement today, June 27th! What? There was no A-Z Claim filed prior to all of this. There's no option to appeal!

Not only did the customer get refunded by RFS by Amazon for $79.17 during the return of the item. The A-Z Claim states the customer was sent $158.34! So, Amazon gave the customer back double the sale price, but maybe even triple their money invested if the $158.34 is on top of the original $79.17 refund?!?! I looked at the transactions and so far, I don't see the $158.34 debit from balance. I'm sure it will show up soon.

So not only did you let this person scam us, leave defamation feedback and you just rewarded them with twice or triple their purchase. So, they got the product for free, and double/triple their money back!

The amount of rage I have right now towards this customer and Amazon is beyond words. I can't even call as I will flip the *** out. We filed a police report against the buyer already. The picture UPS took, and the weight shows the box had the product in it because the package was intact on delivery. The returned box was flattened to fit books. This scammer isn't too smart. They are by far the dumbest scammer we've seen, yet on Amazon, somehow, it's working. I don't get scammed anywhere else after 17years in business! Only here and Amazon helps them. Their system literally helps them do it and get away with it. You would think they would of been smart enough to send back a junk auto part that fit in the box .

We're filing a civil lawsuit against this person for several reasons, including defamation, loss profits, emotional distress and whatever else we can jam in there and will spend 50x the amount to make this scammer come in front of a judge and explain themselves. Need to make an example out of him. And get this, these less than intelligent people, him and his wife, own a small business selling used cars. I would love to let social media know that and the story, but we'll wait until after all legal matters are taken care of.

This will make a great story to a news station. Small business gets scammed on Amazon and Amazon rewards customer twice/triple the purchase price. That's not only fraud by the customer, but also theft by Amazon stealing money from us that wasn't involved in the transaction.

One question to Amazon, what is wrong with you?

The answer is Amazon, you can't run a business properly. Built on the backs of 3rd party sellers. Stolen manufacturing contacts, copied products, launching your own brands to do so and once your business turned an actual profit, you turned your back on your sellers, reducing CS down to a level in which there really is no help. All that money and you can't do the right thing. Typical large corporation that found piles of $. Anti-American. You could hire 5,000 full time U.S. based support reps at $20/hr costing you roughly $250mil per year. Churning 30.4 billion in net income in 2023, could you not afford that? It would absolutely pay for itself with increase capture and keeping companies here. Many leaving or won't touch your marketplace due to poor support. Replacement all these US based business with Chinese business is a slap in the face. So you can inflate your seller numbers if you want, but we know where those numbers come from.

Were you able to look into it? I contacted Amazon in the contact of the A-Z claim and they gave us the canned response, "As the buyer did file a claim, we will still include the claim in your Order Defect Rate and performance metrics.

To avoid these claims in the future, respond promptly to buyer communications to reach a resolution. If appropriate, refund the buyer within 72 hours of the buyer's first contact.

For more information, contact Seller Support by selecting the “Contact Seller Support” link at the bottom of each page in your Seller Central account.

Lol, what a joke. That should be embarassing for Amazon. They refunded 2 weeks prior. This company sucks so bad.

I would also appreciate someone at Amazon take this seriously and help with the defamation negative feedback where they lied saying we sent books. I called them out via Amazon messages and they did that right after. We really don't want to take them to court over the feedback. Our paperwork is ready to mail from our lawyer too. I've been holding off to see if you can help. My emotions regarding the scammer = very upset and I will not stop until justice is served. 17 years been in business. @SEAmodI provided you the order number and case number here. Please see what you can do. Again, this person was a straight up scammer and stole merchandise. Amazon covered the cost in SAFE-T claim. But they damaged our account. A-Z claim team won't remove the claim off ODR, even though it was filed 2 weeks after customer had been refunded.

I bet your company recharged buyer behind the scenes after SAFE-T claim and those snakes let him file an A-Z claim. That's my only theory. No further amount came out of our account.

It's the principal of the matter. Seller with millions in sales vs scammer. We're being punished for this. It's insane

Never once has anyone recieved anything but auto accessories/parts. With over 100K customers, there would be reviews online all over if that were the case.

Can you provide me with the order number so I can do my own review. Once I do so, I will see about escalating for you with the appropriate business team.

Just created this case 15565691831.

Order number 111-4825678-1771457

Order placed 05/24.

Order shipped 05/25.

Full refund processed by Amazon RFS on 06/07.

Safe-T Claim filed on 06/12, Amazon credits us $65.10.

A-Z claim notice on 06/27. Amazon's system automatically closes the claim and counts A-Z claim against us.

Also what about the scammers negative review impacting our account?

It's insane
