Amazon LOVES "to err on the side of caution" . This is not true
We are big sellers, what is being said below is not true. Not at all, we have a perfect health metric. We ship on time, deliver on time. They are keeping the reserve amount, who knows why? But the below is not true, its impossible to work like this.
Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
I am sorry if the reserve policy for your funds causes you any concerns. I know getting paid correctly is one of the most import parts of Selling on Amazon.
I have researched possibly getting you a Exceptional Disbursement but you would not qualify at this time for the reasons noted below. There are many reasons a reserve will be imposed. I will discuss a few of them below.
The first thing I noticed was a recent spike in your sales since the beginning of the year. Congratulations on that amazing increase in sales. Unfortunately spikes like this can cause red flags and additional reserves. Rest assured these level out over time and won't be so dramatic like you see today.
I have checked your account and agree your metrics look very solid currently. However there were some issues in the past as noted here:
Performance Over Time

Voice of the Customer
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/voice-of-the-customer
Product Policy Compliance

Manage A-to-z Claims shows some claims since Jan 1st.
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/guarantee-claims/home.html
Performance notifications

Since the metrics look great now I would expect your reserve amounts to drop significantly in the future. However, for now we will need to error on the side of caution.
We appreciate your understanding with our reserve policies and I am confident these will be relaxed as more time has passed.

It's a velocity revue due to the jump in business you have experienced.
When Amazon says they will exercise 'caution' they mean they will take steps to protect AMAZON.
All the reserves have come about because a bunch of con artists found ways to screw Amazon out of a bunch of money many years ago buy selling, collecting money, but never shipping items.
They will now do what they need to do to protect THEMSELVES!
It's a well known and addressed issue on the Forum (both the NEWEST NOT improved version and the older ones). Search for 'velocity reviews' for lots of discussions.
They will sit on your funds until they don;t feel the need sometime in the next many months/years.
