Intermediate warehouse shipment fee
Hello amazon sellers,
I have recently been writing to address a topic related to the transportation fees associated with the Warehouse A, especially the intermediate warehouse, which I have chosen from the service provider options on Amazon.com.
In order to provide some contexts, I have sent a product of 16 "5.5 pounds to a storage for storage and fulfillment. Very surprise, an important shipping fee of 22.80 dollars for this service. This looks disproportionate and brought some questions to the agenda. Transparency and fairness of the wage structure.
As Amazon sellers, I believe that it is important for us to discuss such issues in open and cooperation. Has someone else experienced a similar situation where the shipping fee appears to be extremely for the weight and nature of the product? It is very important to understand whether this is an isolated event or a common event.
Moreover, I wonder about your thoughts about potential approaches to address this problem. Have you successfully interacting with Amazon's support or logistics teams to negotiate or explain such fees? Sharing your experiences and strategies can provide valuable information for those who deal with similar challenges.
As independent vendors, we aim to provide competitive pricing to our customers while maintaining a reasonable profit margin. Shipping fees can prevent our ability to offer suitable costs. By discussing this issue collectively, we can reveal the patterns, define potential solutions and create a stronger situation for a more fair wage structure.
I encourage all of you to share your opinions, experiences and knowledge that you can have in this regard. Let's use this platform to establish an individual and to establish a productive dialogue that benefits as a combined community of Amazon sellers.
Thank you for your time to read this message and eagerly waiting for your insights.
Kind regards

Hi @Seller_evfIyHgPFNRhp, I'll let your fellow sellers weigh in with their experiences.
The shipping weight is based on either the unit weight or dimensional weight depending on the size of your product.
Unit weight is the measure of how much your product weighs packaged. This is used for small standard size and special oversize items. For large standard size and oversize items, the greater of unit weight or dimensional weight is used.
Dimensional weight is equal to the unit volume (length x width x height) divided by 139. The dimensional weight for oversize items assumes a minimum width and height of 2 inches.
This is used to calculate fulfillment fees. Is your product measured correctly?
