Amazon catalog having an Incorrect Brand, causing a mismatch with the item's GTIN code, Seller Support unable to understand issue
We have been trying to reinstate an older ASIN that was removed due to a GTIN mismatch flag that occurred in Amazon's catalog. Looking through the information in Amazon's catalog for this ASIN the issue appears to be that the ASIN was incorrectly Branded Microsoft, when the original publisher was THQ. The UPC lines up with Kokopelli which was an internal publishing group owned by THQ. We have tried explaining this several times to Seller Support, however Seller support keeps stating the only way to get this ASIN reinstated is to provide proof of affiliation between Microsoft, and Kokopelli.
Is there any way we can get some mod support on figuring out how to reinstate this ASIN, and the others that were removed with the same mismatch error around the same time?
Even more concerning is the fact that although the original ASIN for this item was removed due to this GTIN mismatch, the Amazon Renewed version of the same item was not affected. Even if it was not purposeful, it creates the appearance that Amazon is circumventing their own policies and tools.
