From China to FBA

I cannot find any helpful links or forum threads on how to exactly get your goods from China to FBA.

When I select my inventory to replenish I am told to book transportation through Shipper Central. However, once I do this, it does not give me any details on who the shipper is. It just leads me through the steps of printing labels.

is there a company that will pick up my product and take it to the port in China?

the process is very vague.

Hi @Seller_VqacXf0G7NQcR,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out with this question. When importing products to FBA, there are certain guidelines to follow. Please see below and reference this resource for more information on this process.

When you send your inventory to an Amazon fulfillment center, you begin by creating product listings and creating a shipping plan in Seller Central. After your shipping plan is created, you then:

  • Prepare a commercial invoice for your shipment indicating that you are the importer of record.
  • Choose a customs broker (a service that may also be offered by your carrier).
  • Ship your products from your manufacturer, supplier, or warehouse to the port.
  • Clear your products through customs for export.
  • Load your products onto a carrier for transport to the destination port.
  • Ship your products to the destination port.
  • Clear your products through customs for import.
  • Load your products onto carrier for transport to fulfillment center.

When your inventory originates in a different country than the fulfillment center, you act as the exporter of record in the source country and the importer of record in the destination country.

Please let me know if there are any other questions.

Thanks,

Steve
