I am a used book seller and have been selling on Amazon for 3 years. I recently received a authenticity policy violation for a counterfeit book claim. Obviously my book is not counterfeit, and I'm trying to rectify the issue with support.

This is going to be done by verifying any sourcing documentation you have and enables Amazon to verify the information on those documents. As a used book seller there is very little documentation that I can provide, so I'm asking for help with being connected to a person in support that actually understands the issue and will resolve it instead of providing the standard submit these documents that don't exist answers.

I do understand you are a re-seller of used books. I do not want you to think I am discrediting the types of products that you choose to supply. However, the above standards and policies have been set forth as this is how Amazon chooses to verify the authenticity of their items.

Looking into the case ID provided, I see you have provide a receipt and a letter from your source. As your source has stated in said letter, they receive the items via a donation-based method. This creates an issue in terms of verifying the supply chain of an item. When verifying the supply chain of items, a strong sense of connection to the rights owner or brand will be present. The type of receipt and source you have utilized makes it more difficult to trace this, disabling Amazon making that verification.

Is there any other information you could possibly receive in regards to proof of authenticity for this book?

It is important to also consider the type of violation and potential ways this complaint occurred. If this is an intellectual property complaint, these are generally going to be submitted by rights owners. If this is a product authenticity customer complaint, have you located or received any direct complaints from any of your buyers?
