Amazon-optimized shipment splits: No longer available, are we Banned?

When sending to FBA, we've been shipping 4 or more identical, single-sku cases to qualify for Amazon optimized shipment splits.

As of 2 weeks ago, that option is always grayed out, no matter how many cases we ship (we've tried 4, 10, 12, 24, 36 and 72 cases). Paying the fees for "Minimal Shipment Splits" is too much.

The restock inventory page is telling us we need to send in 2000 units of this same ASIN now, so we're not overstocked. (BTW, each case has 96 units and right now, we're trying to send in 1920 total)

We have also updated our Amazon SellerCentral Settings/Fulfillment by Amazon/Inbound Settings and then selected the "Amazon-optimized shipment splits" radio button. We were told that this would fix it after waiting 24 hours, but the issue remains.

We've also received this canned Seller Support response below via email, which is useless (ie we have addressed each suggestion but the issue remains).

Are we banned from the option to choose "Amazon Optimized Shipment Splits"?

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I'm Manju, representative assisting on your case.

I understand that you are concerned regarding the Amazon-optimized shipment splits and I can understand the importance of this issue holds in your business.

Inbound placement options will be provided only when your shipments qualify. Factors that affect the number of inbound options include the following:

- Whether your shipment includes a mix of standard-size items, non-standard-size items, or special handling categories

- Whether each box contains the same mix and quantities of SKUs

- Quantities and number of boxes for each item

- Geographical demand

To maximize the number of inbound options, try the following:

- Create separate shipments for standard-size items, non-standard-size items, and each special handling category

- Ensure that the item mix and item quantities are equal across all boxes

- Increase the number of boxes

Is there a reason you're not using AWD instead for your FBA inventory?

Here's the shipping page for it. It almost exactly the same as creating an FBA shipment.

We just prepared our first pallet yesterday. I don't think we paid more for shipping with all we had on the pallet. When we finished, it was $100 less to ship than the first estimate it showed even though it weighed more. Our items are 110 class.

Again, this is our first time using AWD but it looks like a much better way when you have cases to send in. Depending on your size, you might get an option to ship in boxes (UPS) rather than pallet.
