Why Am I Being Asked for Identity Verification Again on Amazon?
Hello,
I'm a new seller on Amazon. I completed the seller identity verification process when I created my account last year but never listed a product. Now that I've started listing my products, Amazon is asking me to do the video call verification again. I'm a bit confused about why I need to verify my identity a second time. During the initial verification, I provided my government ID (Driver's License) and a credit card statement.
Thanks!

If you don't use your account for a lengthy time, starting to use it can trigger the reverification. Or sometimes if you make a change in your account info such as address or banking info. And just so you know for the future here, Amazon is often not consistent or logical. Good luck to you.
