Lost premium shipping - Amazon promising the wrong date

We use fedex 2 day for our 2 day orders. Amazon set's the expected delivery date. It's supposed to be set based on what FedEx promises. In most of the country, when shipping on thursday, FedEx will deliver on Saturday.

However, some loications this isn't possible. We have to deliver on Monday. We lost premium shipping because orders with this issue count against our on time delivery metrics.

I opened a case, carefully documented the issue, they closed the case and didn't do anything.

Why are we losing premium shipping because Amazon quotes the wrong delivery date?

The minimum rate is 97.0%, we are at 96.9697%. Even correcting one of these fixes our premium shipping issue.

Here are screen shots that show the ship by and deliver by date, screen shot that explains Amazon calculates the date to ensure it's correct. And a screen shot of what we get when we try to select saturday delivery for the order.

Why are we penalized for a mistake Amazon made? Why won't Amazon correct the mistake and restore our premium shipping hen we document it?

hello we have the same issues

In this example, are you shipping to an area that doesn't offer Saturday delivery or buy shipping just says not an eligible offer.

we find the buy shipping algorithm doesn't always work for Saturdays correctly and use non buy shipping to ship Saturday orders.

Talk about an unforced error. Given the daily unpredictaibility of selling on Amazon it is hard to believe that anyone would further complicate their lives by voluntarily choosing to offer this option.

I go through this a lot

As long as you use a AMAZON BUY SHPPING LABEL, scan on-time your tracking should be 100% period

We've run into the same problem multiple times. Each time we have opened cases and never get any resolution. I wish Amazon would fix their algorithm to quit promising weekend delivery to locations where it isn't available.
