Getting approved for the "brand" but not sub-category

Hello everyone. I'm having some difficulty finding an item that will get me approved in the "SUB-CATEGORY". I've submitted invoices to get ungated on items under both "GROCERIES" and "BEAUTY" but they will only be approved for the "BRAND". It doesn't look like my selling application has an option to be approved for the sub-category, only the brand. If anyone has any tips or advice, I'd really appreciate it!

Correct. Basically, what you are seeing is Amazon polite way of saying you will not be accepted to sell in those categories. Amazon never comes out and says no. They just add one more step to the process they know will not be approved.

Selling brand approvals is a 3 step process, each handled by a different team.

1. Approval for selling your own personally branded products that you own.

2. Approval for selling in the category the product falls under.

3. Approval for selling the actual product in question.

Sounds like you are not using the 1st approval and are only interested in the second and third.

I do believe Groceries and beauty categories are presently not accepting any sellers.
