Amazon Hiding Seller Listing Exposure - $56 in Sales as of 1pm EST with 17,000 Active Listings

I've been selling on Amazon for over 10 Years and never seen this happen before. My account health is fine and feedback is good. No holds/restrictions on my account. I was locked out of my account the other week due to the infamous update credit card on file. Reinstated the same day once updated. I also noticed Brazil was automatically added to my account just like everyone else.

Within a day or two of this happening my sales have dropped significantly. I'm starting to believe this is more this than a coincidence. Spoke to someone on Amazon Seller Support team and she acknowledged this is very unusual by looking at my historical sales trend.

Something is very wrong here. Amazon admits there is some sort of issue but cant help. What else can be done?

Your business model makes it hard to have control over listings. With 17k I can assume your attribute authority is not 100% which makes SEO and BSR management hard to impossible. Cant manage A+ content either unless your the brand rep. Running ads on major brands is cost prohibitive.

Do you have many other sellers on your listings?

Are you a brand or brand rep for any of your listings?

There are other competing sellers but unless if everyone drastically lowered their prices or their is an Amazon glitch I cant understand this strange phenomenon.

Not a phenomenon so much but a result of an obscured system. Anecdotally I can say how I manage the BB but that works for me and may not work for your situation.

Being a brand rep and having listing authority is a big part. We used to a 30k catalog of office supplies and it was a nightmare. We couldnt make any improvements to the listings, advertising and returns were problematic. We got away from that reseller model. Margins were slim or at a loss, competition was heavy.

Double check ALL information that might need to be checked/updated for the Inform Consumers Act stuff. Having your account locked due to credit card change might trigger that needing to be checked. And if that stuff has to get checked, it probably removes your buy box eligibility temporarily.

Check your inventory and are you buy box eligible for all your normal movers?

Are you FBA or FBM?

If FBA how are you stocked?

same here, i dont have as many listings as you, but i feel the drop in the last 2 days. amazon just wants you to put more and more money into "marketing campaigns" , is frustrating

We've also had a drop in sales the past 2 days. I looked up my product and its not showing up anymore like it used to. I just turned on advertising and a promotion to see if that makes a different. But I know my listing is being suppressed, and there is no reason for it!!

The probably put you on vacation mode. This happened one time when my employer gave the main account login to someone at a location that's not the usual office location instead of creating them a partner account to help us edit listings. Amazon detects it as a hack and basically put you in vacation mode to protect you. But doesn't really give much alert, so sales drop out of nowhere.
