I don't sell on Amazon.ca nor Amazon.mx but I was frequently charged by them

Hi I would like to report an urgent issue to see if anyone has experience the same:

I only sell on Amazon.com and have no selling accounts with Amazon.ca nor Amazon.mx. I was never charged by Amaozn.ca or Amazon.mx accordingly. But since mid January 2024, I was frequently charged with varying amounts by Amazon.ca and Amazon.mx with the formatted information below (all the message content is the same except the amounts every time).

Initially I thought there was a credit card identity theft with my credit card, so I cancelled my credit card registered for my Amazon seller account. Such charges stopped. But this led to the consequence that I don't have an effective credit card with my Amazon selling account. Then after I replaced with my Amazon account with a brand new credit card, such charges from Amazon.ca immediately resumed. Anyone on selling Amazon has experienced the same issue? Thanks

The sample message I received notifying me a credit card charge (from Amazon Services @amazon-ca or @amazon-mx):

Title: Balance Paid on your Amazon Seller Account / Paiement du solde de votre compte vendeur Amazon

Content: Greetings from Amazon Services.

We have charged your credit card (MasterCard) for CDN$ 12.03 in an attempt to settle your Amazon.ca seller account balance.

Note that the amount charged to your credit card may be less than the total amount you owe due to a credit limit imposed by your bank. If that is the case, we will continue to charge your card as often as every 24 hours until the remaining balance in your Amazon seller account is paid in full.

You can also use the Make a Payment feature to repay the balance you owe. For details, go to seller Help, and search for “Make a Payment.”

You can view your payment activity at any time by logging in to your seller account and going to your Payments Report.

Thank you for selling on Amazon.ca.

If you have the NA Unified account, then the monthly fee will be split between the three countries. The fee is the same as if you had only the dot com account. Or roughly the same -- due to currency conversion it will not be exact.

If you want that $39.99 fee to be assessed only against the dot com site, then remove all listings from the other two -- both active and inactive -- disable synchronization (BIL) so that no new listings are added, and put those other two on vacation.

This should result in a single monthly fee -- but does not result in any sort of savings.

Hello there @Seller_0uGOSNg2KIp1I

When you sign up for a selling plan you are automatically enrolled in the the North America Unified account which allows you ability to sell in US, Canada and Mexico.

Here is a 2 minute overview of the North America Unified Account for your review.

Additionally, this page has a lot of great resources including FAQ's on the account. Two of which are the below:

What if I don't want to sell on more than one store?

If you have been upgraded to a Unified Account and do not want to sell on another store, keep the store switcher on the country on which you originally registered. Your products will only list on that store.

It sounds like from the above that you have no items there, so you should be all set. However, I'd still recommend setting those marketplaces on 'vacation mode' as well like @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6blrecommended.

What fees will I pay if I sell something using my Unified Account?

For all per-item transaction fees, you will pay the fees applicable to the store in which the item was sold. Your monthly Professional selling plan subscription fee will be allocated to each North American store in which you have active listings on your monthly billing day, and will be limited to USD 39.99 or its equivalent in total. For more information about Professional selling plan fees, go to Selling on Amazon Fee Schedule.
