Registered Brand Issues

Our company sells products to dealers who have then created ads on Amazon to resell our product. We have no issue with the re-sellers. However, the initial brand name that these sellers have used is our company name, ie "Brand Name". This would initially be correct.

We have since added our products to sell on Amazon on our own. We have registered our brand (logo) with Amazon. The registered brand is, ie "BN Brand Name". Our initials followed by our company name, as per our registered logo.

Our issue is, Amazon will not allow us to update our products, that we wish to sell on Amazon, to the correct brand name. We keep receiving the response "you can not change the brand as you are not the brand owner". All because we did not create the add initially. According to Amazon the brand name belongs to the initial creator of the ad. The initial creator of the ad does not own the brand and it is not registered by them. So why won't Amazon allow us, the registered owner of the brand, the manufacture of the brand, and the UPC owner, update to the registered brand name.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Long ago, sellers could easily change their brand name.

So many people were doing it maliciously that now Amazon does not allow changing your brand name at all. Even if you are the trademark owner.

The only people that change their brand name are malicious hijackers who cheat the platform but do not reveal how they cheat the platform.

Apparently, this policy works for Amazon as they have not changed their "Do not change your brand name" policy.

This is one of the toughest things to accomplish in the Amazon world. We gave up on our past attempts in this venture, for some reason when Amazon created brand registry and its enforcement they completely glossed over this very real business issue that many of face.

And then when you go to try to create a new product detail page under your correct brand name they will tell you that you can't because the UPC will be the same as the existing product on Amazon, SO frustrating

You will have trouble with amazon because you are an honest seller. You are a real brand owner. Amazon Brand Registry is full of fake Brands and amazon is their friend. Amazon thrives on chaos. We wish you the best of luck fighting goliath.

Amazon is a tainted Brand. Amazon could care less about your problem. As long as someone keeps paying the fees, you or the Hijacker, amazon keeps making money. The amazon ego is pathetic.
