Account Deactivated for Flagged Listings: Need Clarification

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking advice and clarification. Our Amazon seller account has been deactivated due to flagged listings. All we were doing is matching UPCs with ASINs by uploading large amounts of data; we weren't creating any new listings.

We understand the need for restricted products, but it seems unfair to penalize sellers for simply matching existing listings. Has anyone else faced this issue, and how did you resolve it? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Amazon needs to address this

So, basically what you are saying is

you have no idea what the policies are

you have no idea what the rules are

you have no idea what you are doing

but you uploaded a huge drop shipping catalog.

You are SO suspended....

Hi @Seller_1CaYcEGFpuafy,

Michelle at Amazon here. I see that you spoke with Account Health and they advised you that your appeal is being reviewed. I would recommend that you review the help pages for Category, product, and listing restrictions, Restricted products policy, Listing restrictions and Additional information and resources for sellers about our Restricted Products policy. I would then go through your Restricted Products policy violations and submit additional information if they did not approve your appeal, so they know that you understand what you did wrong. If you feel that you did not violate policy, ensure that you provide proof of that in your appeal. If you feel that your appeal that you have submitted for your account reinstatement is not complete once you read through these help pages, I would recommend that you update it so that when your appeal is reviewed, if your account does not get reinstated, you can submit again right away, however, ensure that you fully address the violations that your items were removed for and call out each ASIN and what you did wrong.

While you are waiting for the review to be complete, I would advise that you review all of your listings to ensure they are complaint, as you can get suspended again if your items are not compliant. For example, I see that a helmet was removed for not being compliant. The reason for this is product has been identified as a motorcycle helmet that does not indicate that it meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218 (FMVSS 218). The National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) requires all manufacturers of motorcycle helmets marketed for road use in the U.S. to self-certify that their helmets comply with FMVSS 218. To be considered for reinstatement, please update the product detail page to confirm that the product complies with FMVSS 218. For more information, please see our Automotive and Powersports Seller Help Page. Therefore, ensure that all of your helmets meet these requirement.

If you have questions as to why a listing was removed or questions about a policy, please contact Seller Support and they can look for you.

I hope this information is helpful.

Regards,

Michelle
