Samsung Application 3/4ths Approved? CSM-BRAND-REVIEW
Amazon Mods,
I need your help with a seemingly unbelievable situation. I am appealing my ability to sell Samsung branded wireless products and accessories. Specifically cited in the original notification I received are three ASINs.
I have tried appealing through the CSM Gating Team email multiple times and am now being only asked for information related to a single ASIN, despite all ASINs having been sourced from the same distributor.
Though the gating team has insisted that my supplier cannot be verified, they are a well-known, well-respected supplier in the Wireless Accessories sphere. Additionally, this supplier has been submitted as proof of authenticity for several of my Inauthentic defects successfully. My dashboard is currently free of ANY Samsung defects. Why would the supplier be verifiable for one process but not the other?! Why would my supplier be sufficient for the other three ASINs I received in my gating notification, but not for the last remaining ASIN? It defies logic.
Additionally, I have been asked to provide my supplier’s supplier. This is absurd. Why would any supplier want to give up their sources to Amazon?
I did, in good faith, follow your instructions and requested this information from my supplier, and was denied. I cannot say that I blame them. They are not obligated to provide you, Amazon, with their proprietary business information.
Now, my entire Samsung inventory is in danger of being forcibly returned to me.
I have to assume this decision was in error and request another evaluation.
Mods, this process is incredibly broken. Can you please help to get our application in front of someone willing to do the work to verify our supplier. They are not hard to find, contact, or research. We know; we vetted them very thoroughly before we even began to work with them.
Any help you can provide would be incredibly appreciated.

Since Samsung is a major brand, I've gotta ask....do you have a LOA from Samsung that you can sell their products on Amazon?
I've seen similar forum posts and each time the seller does not have a LOA.

Hello @Seller_ZBo4OhItdmj6v,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I would be happy to take a deeper look into your selling application for the Samsung brand. Do you have a case ID that you can point me to? I have not been able to locate a selling application for you.
Only Brand Owners (in this case Samsung) can provide approval to sell their Brand, hence the request for an LOA. The process to submitting a brand application and the reasons why they are required are located in the Selling Applications FAQ help page.
To provide additional context, please review the Intellectual Property Policy for Sellers and the requirements of an acceptable Letter of Authorization help pages. These resources will explain the process and they why you are being asked for additional information.
I realize that I have provided a lot of information and this can be a confusing topic, so please let me know if you have any further questions.
Best,
Dougal

Hi Dougal,
I was selling Samsung branded products for about 4-5 years without any issues. Back in March CSM-BRAND-REVIEW@AMAZON.COM sent me an email requesting invoices for certain ASIN's since they had concerns about inauthenticity. After providing invoices from my authorized Samsung distributor, they stated that I could no longer sell Samsung since my supplier is unverifiable... After a lot of back and worth and resolving all the inauthenticity complaints on my account health dashboard, they finally accepted my appeal on April 12th stating that I could continue to sell SAMSUNG. However after waiting 3-5 days, my SAMSUNG listings still were not active. So I sent them an email asking for an update, and then they simply responded back asking for more invoices......

Hello @Seller_ZBo4OhItdmj6v,
Looking further into this, I also found performance notifications for a Samsung ASIN on 4/18/23 and again on 6/12/23. From what I can see, the original notification was on 3/2/23 and for 4 ASINs. Based on the response you listed here from 4/12/23 I am guessing you were successful in providing all required documentation for 3 of the 4 ASINs in question (since the later notifications only list a single ASIN). I would be happy to dive deeper if you provide me with the case ID's from where you stated you sent them an email asking for an update.
Best,
Dougal

Hi Dougal,
Initially they were asking for invoices for 4 ASINs, and after I provided invoices for those ASINs, they stated I could continue to sell Samsung brand on 4/12/2023. However 5-6 days later my Samsung listings were still all inactive, so I created seller support cases with case ID 12494828511 and 12495155141 requesting an update. Their response was simply saying they needed invoices for ASIN B081GBB3NQ and that my supplier is unverifiable, as you could see on performance notifications for Samsung ASIN on 4/18/23 and 6/12/23. This is really frustrating because they have already accepted my invoices to remove an inauthentic complaint for ASIN B081GBB3NQ on 3/20/23. I am really not sure what to do now as they are saying my supplier is unverifiable everytime I send them invoices/ LOA from my supplier, who is an authorized Samsung distributor...
Thank you so. much for your help and looking into this for me.

Hello @Seller_ZBo4OhItdmj6v,
Thank you for the case ID's. In the cases I researched I have not seen any invoices attached. I am sure you submitted, but I do not have access to those. Assuming you are providing everything that is being asked for on the invoices (last 365 days), I am guessing the issue is with the LOA. I found case ID 12557409901 where you attached the authenticity letter from your supplier. This letter only states your connection with the supplier and not the brand. LOA's must come from the brand owner, in this case, Samsung. This is to verify that you have permission from the brand owner. Please read through the Letter of Authorization help page as this breaks down the reasons for requesting and LOA, what needs to be included and the acceptable formats.
I hope this helps clarify what is required, please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Dougal

Hi Dougal,
My question becomes how come csm brand review gating team accepted my invoices for 3 of the ASIN's but not the last one using invoices from the same supplier? My supplier is an Samsung authorized distributor and it's written on their website. If I could get my supplier's supplier invoices showing they buy directly from Samsung, would that be enough to get approval from the gating team?
Thank you for your help. I do appreciate it.

Hello @Seller_ZBo4OhItdmj6v,
I unfortunately do not have any visibility or insight into that team's decision or process, but having read through the response provided to case ID 12557409901, they are specifically looking for:
- Copies of invoices, receipts, contracts, delivery orders or authorization letters from your supplier's supplier issued in the last 365 days.
- If you are not the brand owner, provide an authorization letter and a complete set of documentation to prove a valid supply chain
Basically, the team needs to be able to connect the dots in the supply chain from Samsung to you.
I hope this helps explain a bit better, but please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Best,
Dougal
