How To Update Apparel Size Value

Hi,

I am the registered brand owner of my products and I have some ASINs that I need to update the following since we are receiving 8541 errors:

-Apparel Size Class

-Apparel Size Value

-Apparel Size Body

I have opened many tickets with support with no luck. I was instructed to delete all the listings for 24 hours and resubmit my spreadsheet and that should reset the values. I have completed this and still receive errors that my values are not matching what is in Amazon's catalog. Has anyone had success in resetting/clearing these fields?

Thanks!

Hi there @Seller_Wyqv63vyWfEbX,

Thanks for reaching out regarding Error 8541. You may want to ensure that you have fully deleted the listings and wait for 48-72 hours as in some instances it can take time for the system to clear the old data. If you are still having issues after that time frame please provide your Case ID and I can see what I can do to escalate. Thank you for your understanding.

The fix for my matter is below:

My Listing was a Parent/Child variation

1. I deleted both the Parent listing and all child listings and waited 24 hours.

2. I reuploaded just the child ASIN's only into Seller Central and matched them with the data from the Amazon catalog.

3. Once child ASINs were in Seller Central I made the required changes via flat file.

4. After the changes I needed had been made I then re-uploaded the child ASIN's to a new Parent variation.

Hope this helps some others!

@Glenn_Amazon, @Seller_Wyqv63vyWfEbX - I am having the same problem.

To clarify the resolution, on step 2, are you matching the data from Amazon's catalog....as in the incorrect Apparel Sizes you want to change?

And then in step 3, you are uploading another flat file with the changes to Apparel Size Value?

Appreciate the clarification here so I can fix a similar issue!

Hi,

Yes, that is correct. Upload the child ASINs with the data that is incorrect. Once the child ASINs are there then make the needed changes. Make sure you do this while the child ASINs are not tied to a parent.

Hope this help!

@Glenn_Amazon@Seller_Wyqv63vyWfEbX. Unfortunately this did not work for me.

This time I have waited over 72 hours. Outling steps here, I think this is a little more unique than this issue is typically.

After 72 hours of parent and child variation deletion, I go to Add Products - Find your products in Amazon's catalog. I try entering the UPC and the ASIN and Amazon does not recognize it (Good!)

I go to " I’m adding a product not sold on Amazon" and start filling out all the info. I tried this manually and via flat file and once all the info is filled out....the backend recognizes the ASIN and notes the error in the Apparel Size Value. So I cannot actually create the SKU without changing this value to the incorrect size value

The way I was able to have success was like below

Where you are now, upload only the child ASINs not tied to a parent ASIN with the INCORRECT data that the Amazon catalog wants. Once the child ASINs are in your managed inventory with the incorrect data try to go into each ASIN and correct the incorrect data that needs to be fixed. After you have corrected the incorrect data then you can rebind the child ASINs to a parent ASIN.

Which error are you receiving and on which field?

I know this is frustrating it did take me 3 weeks to figure it out. I sure wish support had a better document on this process. I will keep trying to help you the best I can.

Hi ! I have the same problem and I have created 2 cases and have been talking with the Help center for more than 3 weeks. But they kept on telling me that the Cup size Value existed in the Amazon catalog is different from those in my feed file. And I keep on deleting the listing, waited for 24 hours and relisting the products without resolving the problems.

Actually I told them at the very beginning that the data I entered in my first feed file was incorrect and I wanted to correct the Cup size value of my lingerie products with my new feed file.

Then I was told to delete the listing, wait for 24 hours before relisting with a feed file including the correct Cup Size Value. However, Errorcode 8541 appeared everytime I relisted the product.

I though the Help center associate would understand my situation but they just came back and told me that the data in the feed didn't match with their existing Amazon Catalog. Again and again, things just kept on repeating and looping without a solid solution.

I have deleted my listing, waited 24 hours and relisted it for more than 10 times, but Errorcode 8541 appeared all the time and no listing can be done successfully. And what drive me crazy is that the Help Center associates keeps on telling me that my feed file containing data which doesn't match with those in the existed Amazon Catalog..... the story keeps on and on and on.

I have written the above more than 10 times in these 4 weeks but I just cannot list my product successfully

Please help !

To clarify the resolution, on step 2, are you matching the data from Amazon's catalog....as in the incorrect Apparel Sizes you want to change?

And then in step 3, you are uploading another flat file with the changes to Apparel Size Value?
